Biography He joined NEC corporation of Japan in 1980. In 1991 he moved to LCD division of NEC after working for semiconductor division over 10 years. In 2009 he was assigned as a president of NEC LCD Technologies which was a subsidiary of NEC. He continued as president after NLT Technologies was established under Tianma group in 2011. In 2013 he was assigned as acting vice president of Tianma group. Since April 2016, he has been working for Tianma group as CTO of PDB R&D. Abstract The display industry has the history of paving ways to new markets by providing innnvative HMI solutions. Lap top computers, disk top monitors, TV, feature phones, and smarphones are representive markets which were created by the excellent feature of LCD Display. Now the automotive market is in a big challenging period toward new revolutionary vehicles featuring EV(Electric Vehicle), FCV(Fuel Cell Vehicle), ADAS(Advanced Driver Assistance System), AC(Autonomous Car), and so on. According those movements there will be increasing demand for advanced displays in vehicles. The enhanced safety and comfort in vehicles will be more required in the future automotive eniviroment, which will drive diplay technology innovation and moreover enlarge diplay market as results. This paper will briefly describe the prospect of the automotive display innovation necessary for the future autmotive socity. |
