Abstract There is an ongoing wave of G10.5/11 TV fab investments in the display industry. As 65”+ TV demand surges, driven by consumers' preference for a more immersive viewing experience, we are also seeing the emergence of 8K, OLED and QD OLED TVs. The Applied Materials Display and Flexible Technology Group has successfully scaled up our core CVD, PVD, EBT and EBR tools for G10.5/11 mass-production. These highly differentiated deposition and yield management tools enable the fastest mass production ramp of Gen 10.5/11 fabs and enable the transition from a-Si LCD to more advanced TV technologies, such as oxide TFT, OLED, and QD OLED. |
